Bystronic Laser Operator

Location: Leicester
Pay: £15–£18 per hour (negotiable depending on experience)

We’re looking for an experienced Laser Operator to join our clients manufacturing team in Leicester. This is a hands-on role and is not suitable for trainees or entry-level candidates

Essential Experience

• Proven experience operating Bystronic laser cutting machines

• Confident programming and setting machines independently

• Experience using CAD/CAM software such as Radan, SolidWorks, or Lantek

• Ability to work from technical drawings

• Background in a manufacturing or metalworking environment

• Sheet metal experience is preferred but not essential

Shift Options

Day Shift:
Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30

OR

Night Shift:
Monday to Thursday, 16:00 – 02:30

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate Bystronic CNC laser cutting machines

• Load and unload materials, ensuring correct alignment and settings

• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications

• Monitor machine performance to ensure accuracy and quality

• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet required tolerances

• Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment

What We’re Looking For

• Strong attention to detail and quality

• Comfortable in a fast-paced production environment

• Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude

• Experienced with Bystronic or Trumpf Press

• CAD/CAM programming experience
